I’m sure you’ve seen the fitness challenges popping up all over Blogland for holiday season. Since I’m not immune to wanting to belong to a community and challenge myself a little, I just wanted to share which ones I’ll be participating in.
Bobbi McCormick’s Holiday Shred 2013 starts November 18th and runs through December 27th (6 weeks). Registration isn’t open yet, but it will soon and you can register here. As part of her Shred plan, Bobbi sends out sample meal plans, weekly workout plans, a running plan and access to her expertise as a personal trainer- all for a very reasonable and affordable price ($40)! Bookmark it now so you don’t miss the sign-up!
In a previous post, I mentioned that I participated in both her Fall Shred and her Extreme Fall Shred. During the four-week Fall Shred, I lost 6 lbs! Results will be in tomorrow morning for the Extreme Fall Shred.
The other challenge that I’m officially participating in is Pile on The Miles 2013, hosted by Monica over at RunEatRepeat. This challenge is completely FREE and you can sign up here. This one is about setting a goal to move more in the month of November while having a place to be accountable and win prizes! Whether you participate or not, follow along on Twitter using #POTM2013!
I participated in Pile on the Miles last year as well, but I’m looking to log a lot more miles this year. I’ve realized that I’m lighter both in weight and mood, more energetic and less crabby when I’m running more. Plus, I’ve set a few big running goals for next year and the sooner I start building my mileage back up, the better my running will be when those races roll around!
Have you joined a fitness challenge for the holiday season? If so, please share in the comments!
I haven’t heard about the Holiday Shred so thanks for sharing that. I’ve participated in Pile on the Miles the past few years and I’m looking forward to that again. Good luck with POTM and the Holiday Shred!
Thanks, good luck on #POTM to you, too!
I am participating in the #rockyoursweat challenge for November and considering the HBBC runtothefinish.com challenge and a few others! Very excited to be a part of these communities
Thanks for sharing the challenges you’re participating in! Good luck!!
