As I mentioned in my last post, I got back on track with 30 Day Shred on Thursday. On Friday morning, I finished level 2 as planned and took my weight and measurements. I was disappointed to see a GAIN of 2 lbs. on the scale but I lost 3 inches. Overall, I’m pleased with my results considering I had a week off for recovery.
I took the weekend off because of activities at church, but started level 3 this morning. I’m hoping the results from this level are even better than the results from the first two levels.
Level 3 is definitely more difficult that levels 1 or 2 because of the plyo moves. I hate plyo, but I realize that moving outside of the comfort zone is when real changes occur, so I’m trying to give them all I’ve got. I’m still modifying push-ups and mountain climbers (because they make my hip pop), and only getting through half of the plyo moves;especially the jumping lunges because my balance apparently requires coffee to work. It will be interesting to see if any of these areas improve.
With the end of 30 Day Shred in sight, I went ahead and ordered Jillian Michael’s Body Revolution today. It should arrive in about a week. Yes, I’m going to commit myself to Jillian for at least another 90 days beyond 30 Day Shred, but I’m liking the results, even though they’re not visible to others yet. Plus, I like that her workouts are all around 30 minutes, which makes it harder to come up with excuses NOT to fit it into the schedule!
Once I receive Body Revolution, I start doing posts about the program and results.
On one last note, I’m excited that Nate and I are already signed up Warrior Dash Minnesota 2013! Several friends are registered for the same wave, even! This of course means that I need to start being so anti-running and start training! I see hill sprints in my future…
